Leveeland Print Studio is an artist-run fine art print studio in New Orleans, run by Finn Hewes and Deniz Turkoglu Hewes.
Finn is an artist from Gulfport, Mississippi, with years of experience in the printing industry. Before starting Leveeland, he spent years running print production in other artists’ studios, handling everything from proofing and color management to mounting, framing, crating, and shipping. His work has been shown at the Frances M. Maguire Museum of Art at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, the Alexandria Museum of Art in Louisiana, the Hudson Valley MoCA in Peekskill, NY, and the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts in Providence, RI.
Deniz is a multidisciplinary artist from Istanbul who works across constructed photography, video, projection, ceramics, and installation. Her work has been shown at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, the University of Chicago, and Soho Photo Gallery in New York, among other venues.
We met at Northwestern as art students, and we’ve been making work together ever since. We share a studio, critique each other’s prints, and obsess over the same details you do: color, paper, surface, and presentation.
We started Leveeland to be the print shop we always wanted as artists.
For us, that means hands-on-paper experience, honest advice about paper and presentation choices, expert editing assistance and retouching, and reproductions that hold up next to the original.
Whether you’re down the street or across the country, you’ll be working directly with the two of us, to make your prints.
Finn is the tech guy and the handyman. He handles our hardware, networking, printer problems, and more. He’ll build or fix whatever the studio needs. He’ll also talk your ear off about bit depth and color profiles if you let him.

Deniz runs the people side of the studio. She’s your first point of contact, keeps every project organized and on schedule, and makes sure you leave happy with your prints. She also has the sharpest eye in the room for paper and presentation.
